Maybe Someday

I love this bag Martha e-mailed me today (gotta love Martha's mass e-mails).

And I really want to try a layered cake.  I think this one is pretty.

Meanwhile my craft desk is collecting an extreme amount of dust.  Someday my girls will give me some me time again.

Sincerely,
Ms This

Message in a Bottle

I know Valentines day is over for this year but I thought of a really fun idea one could use for next year.  Many celebrate the 12 days of Christmas each year and I thought why not also celebrate 14 days of Valentines for the man in your life.  So from February 1st to February 14th, you will leave a cute message either on your lover's office desk, night stand, car seat, etc.  They can be simple messages such as:  "I love your sweet smile", " I love....", you get the idea.  The only materials you need for this project is a bottle (mine is an empty pure vanilla bottle), a piece of paper with a string to tie around it, and of course a heart full of love.  This is a very simple project, yet it will show your loved one how much you care for them.  Good luck and have fun with it!

Sincerely,
"Miss That"

Presidents Day

I love the shirts Dana made over at MADE.  Very creative and I also love her theme this month on "Celebrating the Boy".  You need to check out all her stuff!

Paper Love

In my efforts to stay sane after having a baby I'm making an effort of doing something besides changing diapers and feeding a baby.  One of those is showering after this post....maybe.  The other is starting a new tradition for Valentines.  My mom did this for us and I always loved it.  When we woke up on the morning of Valentines day she would have paper hearts hung all over the house.  On each heart she would write something she loved about someone in our family.   There were numorous hearts for each child and some for my dad.  I think it would be fun to do it for my girls and hubby.

I found these paper hearts on Etsy and thought it would be fun to display some of the hearts like this.  But that might not happen until next year.  You can find them here
